Double wall construction benefits to reusable water bottles
The insulation properties of many new stainless steel metal water bottles is down to two layers of steel forming a ‘double wall’, this allows a small but efficient air layer to be sandwiched between the two layers. The inside wall made from 18/8 food grade steel will hold the liquid whilst the outer wall will protect further any penetration from outside temperatures and also keep the internal temperature of the primary wall preserved for several hours.

Some additional practical benefits come with using this design for insulation:
1. Unlike single-walled metal bottles the air insulation will create no condensation meaning that the there will be no ‘sweating’ i.e.water droplets forming on the outside wall of the bottle.
2. The bottle will also be very easy to handle, because of the air insulation, the outside metal of the bottle will never represent the same temperature of the internal liquid, so even if you have just loads of ice which you can easily put inside thanks to the wide mouth design and treat the bottle like a true thermos flask your hands will never feel cold. The same is true for hot liquids the bottle will just feel easy to touch and no discomfort will occur.
The EX600ml can keep drinks cool all day and night especially if you add pre-chilled drinks and a few ice cubes.
With regards to using the bottle for hot liquids you can safely use liquids up to 50 Degrees C with the sports cap. We do not recommend using higher liquid temperatures from a safety point of view as hot liquids create pressure inside a vacuum flask so when you open the flip cap it can cause hot water to spray out. For this reason we advise to not go above 50 degrees C.
